I want to use a .jpg file for my logo, and not a .gif file.

geeklog search always for a "logo.gif" file, where can I rename this file name?

in the professional theme, file blockheader-left.thtml, I have found a css property: class="blocktable-left", that is not present in the style.css file.

All layout customization are in the folder /public_html/layout

To be more specific: In your theme's header.thtml, you will find a {site_logo} variable, which is always replaced with the logo.gif. If you want something else there, remove the variable and replace it with something like {layout_url}/images/logo.jpg or {site_url}/images/logo.png
