Old themes in New geeklog

i have the lastest version of geeklog and a older theme and i cannot edit anything, i cannot edit users, i cannot edit news, and i am using the admin account, so i know that its not the admin, and its not permissions on database, it doesnt give me any kind of error, it just tell me done! and its not anything done, the changes just dont work, i dont know why, i know that i am using themes that have not been tested in the last geeklog versions but i would like to know what can i do to make them work, please help me, thx

First, lets make sure it is a theme issue. Switch to the professional theme that ships with the latest version of GL and see if your stuff works then. If it does, then it is probably a theme issue. See the docs for changes that need to be applied to older themes if you want them to function properly with newer GL versions.

I know you said you red the documentation explaining how to upgrade an old theme, but the problems you're experiencing are related to a theme not being updated...
a quick way to find out for sure is to copy the admin directory from the professional directory into the old theme replacing all of that themes admin files.... if that doesn't fix it then reply back.

Clear your /logs/error.log file. Try to edit again and then check your error.log to see if any errors are showing.

is your theme a common theme? does it have a name? perhaps if we knew what theme it was , we could help more.

I am using an "older theme" with 1.3.11sr1 and have no issues. Try replacing your /layout/klearblue/user folder with the one from professional theme and see if that makes a difference with editing users. I doubt it will but since you said the professional theme worked fine, it is worth trying.

Replacing your old theme's admin directory with the one from the professional theme that ships with Geeklog should fix these issues. Please try it again.
