does theme version matter with geeklog version?

Simplicity and Plain templates are older versions but will they be okay with the latest version of geeklog? do versions matter?

Older themes will work with latest version but will need a few files copied to them. When you copy themes, it will display an error message with details of what files are missing. Copy the missing files and everything should work.
