I recently downloaded the ThemeChanger(tc) and it works.

1. Is it normal that the tc only applies for the current page. Is it possible to remain with the newly chosen theme for the remainder of the visit to the site.

2. When I first installed the tc there was a "Permantly" word in the block I could click. But I don't see it now. When should I see it and what might be the reasons I can't see it now?

3. Is there any conflict between allowing users set their own theme when they log on and using the theme changer?

The theme changer only changes the theme for the current page. To make it permanent (and see that option), you have to be logged in.

I have the two themes ClearBlue and professional and I am able to switch between the two as a guest user and when logged in. But at no time do I get the 'permanent' option. I presume this option is the equivalent of changing the theme in your account preferences.

But the real issue is that the two themes are definitely working yet, when I turn on 'allow_user_themes' and log in, my user theme preference only allows the professional theme. And the themechanger reads, 'Sorry there is only one theme installed on this system'.

Hmm, I'm confused now. First you say that you can switch the themes in the theme changer and then you say that you can not ...

bye, Dirk

Yes that is exactly my problem!
The ThemeChanger works fine till I turn on allow_user_themes and then in the Theme Changer block I get:
'Sorry there is only one theme installed on this system'
But clearly there are two themes installed and working.

Is it correct to say that the Theme Changer gets it's options from the layout directory, but the preference option gets it's options from the Site Settings section of config.php?
