How to disable auto account approval???

Hi, I am sure this has been asked a million times before.

I have just implemented my first site using geeklog and I want to be able to disable the feature that when a user submits their email the account is automatically created.

What I want is for it to be requested but not approved automatically.....

Has this been done?

Can it be done?

How do I do it?

Am I just being thick?

Please help me!!!! I am going mad.......many thanks in advance. Rolling Eyes Confused
