geeklog is downright stupid.
it lacks simple pragmatism, which is replaced by nerd showoff.
for instance, any forum software that doesn't have a provision for sending personal messages online (not e-mail) is a waste of time. people should pay more attention to bare necessities than to gimmicks.

If I had to guess, and I don't, I'd have to say you just tossed any chance you had of getting any support.

First of all, how is it a gimmick? Did you receive spam about Geeklog? Did you pay money to use Geeklog? Of course not. There are thousands of people just like you that have come here knowing nothing about it, but by asking questions and having patience, have gained the knowledge to learn to love it. Don't bash something just because Bill Gates doesn't own it.

As far as the forum goes, it is only a plugin. If you don't want to use it, then don't. You can use any other forum out there. There is even a hack to integrate phpbb2 with Geeklog. Or did you not bother searching for that?

which means you respond only when someone is not very nice.

what i said stands.
a forum software minus a built in pm facility is just dumb. period.
no amount of sarcasm or indignation can rule out that.
one doesn't have to be techno-savvy to know that.
it is pure common sense.
