SImple question: is there any way I can migrate my LiveJournal stories into GeekLog?

There is no LiveJournal importer that I know of.

What sort of export does LiveJournal offer?

It offers export in CSV and XML

Geeklog's database scheme is in sql/mysql_tableanddata.php. Importing the stories should be easy enough with that information (search for 'stories'). Don't know what else LiveJournal offers that you may want to port over ...
