I've changed a topic to be read only to anonymous users. Alas, its stories still show in the older stories. To make sure older stories is updated, I've submitted a new story (and then deleted it).

Must I hide older stories entirely?

Is it always like this? I mean, if I create a fresh site and create a story in a protected topic, will anonymous users still see its title and link in the older stories' block?

Read-only? I guess you meant to say that you unchecked the "Anonymous" option so that it's now not visible to Anonymous users.

The Older Stories block is not updated when a topic changes. I guess that should be considered a bug. You know what to do ...

That should have updated the block. Or try going to the block editor, editing and saving the block again.

bye, Dirk

You're right, as usual...and saving the block did the trick, I wonder why submitting a story didn't (and it wasn't because I deleted it. I looked first).
