Image upload trouble

Hello again.

Well I updated our site awhile back, and made it a little sexier. Thing is, I haven't made a story since with an image attached (Using the [image1_left] function).

Today, I was trying to edit a current story and give it a picture, but I got this message after my Mozilla thought about it for awhile.

Upload of haloween_028.jpg failed.
Chmod of haloween_028.jpg to 0644 failed

Any ideas if I messed something up?

Thanks.

Site is www.whitfieldband.com

Enable the debugging option in config.php and see if that provides any insight:
Text Formatted Code
// Uncomment the following line if you experience problems with the image
// upload. Debug messages will be added to the error.log file.
// $_CONF['debug_image_upload'] = true;

bye, Dirk

Well, I came across a lot of other useful option changes there, but after a thorough search (Even used the Notepad "Find" function) there doesn't appear to be a Debug bit in my Config.php. Is my file old or something? Or did you mean for me to inject the code into the PHP file?

Cheers.

Sam.

Erm ... Which Geeklog version are you on? This option has been in config.php for quite a while.

Oh gee. Um, is there a way to tell which version I am on?! I have never updated it, so probably pretty old.

Ok, so if I were to update, would it change any of my scheme modifications? If not, I guess I just need to know which update to get.

Hopefully it isn't much of a process.

Cheers,

Sam.

Look for "VERSION", near the end of config.php. It should also be listed after the "Version Test" link in your admin block (again, unless you're on a really old version). Try clicking on that link, while you're there ...

If you mean the theme, then yes, that will have to be updated. Check the documentation for details.

If you're not on any 1.3.11 variant, grab the complete 1.3.11sr2 tarball and follow the instructions.
