This is a feature called centerblock. You can turn it off in the forum admin - settings.

where do i create a category

Anonymous
when i go to forum admin i get this

Statistics : which goes to index.php which is the page i'm on

Settings : which goes to settings.php which works and are the settings for the forum

Forums : which goes to boards.php which is a blank page

Convert : which goes to migrate.php whic converts a story to forum post which is working

Moderator : which goes to mods.php which let me pick users as a moderator which is working

Messages: which goes to messages.php which is working

IP Mgmt; which goes to ips.php which is working.

I turned the center block off as you suggested and that is working, however I can not find where I am supposed to create my forum catergories

Having the same problem as the other anonymous guy. Nice replies, but if you didn't catch it, EVERYTIME we try to go to the admin-forum area, we only get a blank page, not the option to create a forum.....

Nevermind me, I'm the one that didn't catch it. Your advice worked for me too, thanks Vader!

I was trying to use the newest version of the forum plugin as found on portal parts, i uninstalled it and installed the latest version found here which i think is 2.3 and it works like a charm. i guess i should have stated that in my original post, thanks to all of you, that tried to help.

Mr. portal parts i think you have more bugs to work out in your newest forum plugin
