Hi,
I have a working copy of GL and the GL_gallery2 pluiggin installed and operating well except for one problem.
When I sign up as a new user and loggin, the random image block disapears. If I click on the "Gallery 2" link in one of the blocks the gallery appears, when I leave the gallery, the random image block appears and all is as should be...but only after clicking that Gallery 2 link.
If lof out and retrurn for a second time as the same new user, the random image block is ritght there as it is supposed to be.
Anyone seen this before??
Jordy

I have the same problem on two different sites. I have emailled the creator and will share any information that he gives me.

The GL_Gallery2 plugin adds the user to the Gallery2 user list the first time he or she browse the Gallery. So until that person browse the Gallery he is not recognized by Gallery2 as a user.
I think when Gallery2 comes with Geeklog embeding feature like Gallery1, and use the Geeklog user database as its own, this problem will be gone.

Good call! That was the issue. Thanks.
For those who did not understand this, try this:
Login as the new user on your GL Site.
Then, type http://www.yoursite.com/gl_gallery2 which will take you to your gallery site through the gl_gallery2 plugin.
Problem solved. Thanks samstone!
Now, if you get an error -> Failed to create G2 user with extId [2]. Here is the error message from G2:
Error (ERROR_COLLISION) or similar, then you need to remove that user from your Gallery and try again.

A quick reminder for anyone who may come across this thread.
The GL_Gallery2 bridge has been replaced by G2Bridge - http://www.geeklog.net/article.php/20060319110852196
Good for Gallery 2.1+
