Hi,

I have been able to remove original GL banner and insert my own Flash banner in it's place.

I tried to match the Flash banner background with the GL background but have had no luck because the GL BG uses a gradient fill at the top and bottom edges. So I don't get a seamless blend with my SWF and the blue header BG.

Any suggestions to rememdy this? Can i change the Blue header BG to a straight blue without the Graident?

Thanks for anyone taking the time to help,

Jordy

Location:The Netherlands, where else?
You can set the background of your .swf movie to transparent. And replacing the gradient BG image is also possible of course.

I do know about Wmode Transparancy and swf's but my understanding is that Netscape 7 and below, and Macantosh IE browsers have rendering issues.

Do you know off hand how to change the gradient fill in header area? If not I am sure I willll eventually figure it out :-)

You may want to try using a pixel color editor to get the correct color your looking for. I have one here on my site.

Thanks for the input. I had already remedied the situation to my satisfaction but I did follow the link you gave and Dl the color picker tool. It's quite handy. I think it may become part of my most usefull web design tool bin. I often thought that something like that must exist out there. So thanks.

Hey I also liked the table on your GL blocks at your site. Is that a plugin?

Here is a link to my site, I think the banner looks just about seamless:

This is wierd...I just looked at my site above and the flash banner shows in firefox and netscape but not IE. Can someone check my link in IE and tell me if the flash banner shows? I was wondering if this was an isolated problem.
