I get an error message of


whenever I view a forum post.

Any ideas?

What version of GUS are you using?

Check the $_GUS_CONF['host_lookup'] option in your GUS config.php.

I don't see that in the GUS config.php.

Here are all of the $_GUS_CONF settings:

$_GUS_CONF['use_nslookup'] = false;
$_GUS_CONF['host_lookup_timeout'] = 1;
$_GUS_CONF['wo_fullname'] = false;
$_GUS_CONF['wo_users_anonymous'] = true;
$_GUS_CONF['wo_online'] = true;
$_GUS_CONF['wo_registered'] = true;
$_GUS_CONF['wo_new'] = true;
$_GUS_CONF['wo_daily'] = true;
$_GUS_CONF['wo_refs'] = true;
$_GUS_CONF['wo_max_referrers'] = 100;

What am I looking for here?

Get the latest version from here and check the $_GUS_CONF['host_lookup'] setting.

I upgraded to 1.5.0 and changed the host_lookup from host to gethostbyaddr.

That did the trick.

No problem. Sorry for my terse responses - I was focused on something. Doesn't happen all that much these days, so I had to go with it
