Hi dirk and co. This time I really need help
I am trying to change the menu. I read
http://www.geeklog.net/faqman/index.php?op=view&t=58
http://www.geeklog.net/faqman/index.php?op=view&t=7
but still I got this problem. I changed my menu to
$_CONF['menu_elements'] = array
(
'home', // link to homepage
'contribute', // contribute / "submit a story" link
'calendar', // link to the site calendar
'search', // link to advanced search
'stats', // link to site stats
'directory', // link to list of past stories
// 'prefs', // link to user's preferences
// 'plugins' // links added by plugins, like {plg_menu_elements}
// 'custom' // for custom links (see lib-custom.php)
);
But I get this:
Home | Contribute | Calendar | Advanced Search | Site Statistics | Directory | Web Resources | Polls |
Why is there Web Resourse and Polls. I am using 1.4.0b1
Is this a bug or how can I change the menu correctly?
Best Regards und Gruss

If you're using the Classic theme (as mentioned in that other thread), then you have to remove {plg_menu_elements} from the header.thtml

ok found that myself. Its the
"Plugin List" in the admin section. More or less this just removes the whole plugin and also the menu entry. I am starting to like Geeklog more and more.
What about the logo ?

Nope. Have a look at the "custom" entry and function CUSTOM_menuEntries in lib-custom.php

{site_logo} is just a hard-coded shortcut for {layout_url}/images/logo.gif
Actually, in 1.4 you could set the global variable $_IMAGE_TYPE to 'jpg' and then it would be logo.jpg - but all your other images would also have to be JPGs then.
So, using {layout_url}/images/logo.jpg as a replacement for {site_logo} is probably the better idea.

This is an excelent Workaround. It works also with the static pages.
I own you a Beer for this!
Still I got a lot of thing to change from the defaults. I will probably have to post some more things. Thanks a lot for all the great support.

Getting back to the menu items, I am using the Blue_Steel theme and I have "{glmenu}" showing up in the menu bar at the top of the page and no menu. It is at Team Hardcore MMA and I'm such a newby to php that I can't seem to figure out where the problem is and that I need to go to fix it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Bob
Have a blessed day!!
