Geeklog Forums

I want to have a shared database for phpbbbridge so two different sites can have the same embedded forums. Both sites will be running on the same server in the same instance of apache. Is this possible?

Unless both of your Geeklog sites run off the exact same gl_users table, this wouldn't be possible. phpBBBridge and Geeklog are tightly coupled and share users, so if you tried to use one instance of phpBBBridge in two instances of Geeklog, the systems would get confused pretty quickly.
