removing left navigation

I was wondering how can I remove the left navigation and change the banner only on one page. For example, on my forums page I do not have a user friendly amount of room for them to display nicely. So by removing the left navigation and adding button and/or links to the banner to the common areas in the site will ease my problem. Would anybody know how to do this? Is more detail necessary? I'm new to Geeklog and new to PHP so this is quite an experience.
Thanks,

Geeklog uses a function COM_siteHeader to display the site's header and the left blocks. When COM_siteHeader is called with the parameter "none", it displays only the header.
So you would have to go through the forum code and find the calls to COM_siteHeader and change them accordingly ...

Dirk,
How do we add a navigation header in the forum? Or possibly between the header and the forum?
