I have the stock plugin (1.0) installed (Thanks Squatty), with the updated main.inc file (Thanks Trinity).
For some reason, some of the stocks come up as zero values, yet when I manually parse each:
http://www.webservicex.net/stockquote.asmx/GetQuote?symbol=(symbol code here) the xml file reads correctly.
Why would some be zero values, yet others are correct? Some that do not come up correctly are IBM, WMT, SPY among others. Some that come up correctly are OXPS, JBLU, and BA amongst others.
What am I missing??

After thought add-on - this is installed on the latest, greatest version of Geeklog - Beta 1.4

i had a similar issue with this and it turned out it was the timestamp being wrong in the db for some reason. the plugin use's a cache and if the timestamp isnt a certian amount it dosent look up the stock

Thanks for the reply.
After manually clearing the time stamps in the database, I still had the same problems. Over the course of the past week, I have left it alone to do it's own thing, and through out the week, one or two different stocks on various days, come up as a zero.
I would say the problem is most likely on the transmitting side, and not in the reception of the data.
thanks..
