It appears my entire site is going or is already corrupt. Can someone indicate to me where the proper backup and restore procedures are? Searching for them isn't helping me and I know I've seen them here. Thanks, your help is greatly appreciated.

your admin menu. click on db backups
if your site is truely corrupt, backing it up isn't going to help you

You could have found How does Geeklog backup the database? all by yourself easily. As for the restore, check the README right there in your backups directory (I guess that should be in the FAQ, too).
bye. Dirk

Dirk, I appreciate the help.... I knew how to back up the database but was wondering if anything else was invovled besides the changes in config.php ... I will look in the backups directory for the restore instructions. Do you reccomend i try to install the 1.4 beta version on Lunar Pages? Should I anticipate any problems? I really do appreciate your help, thank you.

I think you should try to find out what happened instead of making things more complicated by adding 1.4.0b1 to the equation ...
Do you happen to know if your hosting service changed something? E.g. upgraded PHP or other software on the server?
Also, it's not clear (to me, at least) what you actual problem is. You've switched URL rewriting off now, didn't you? So is there anything left that's not working?
bye, Dirk

I have replaced the config.php file and went through the changes I made, the site now seems to be working like it did, what happened was from one minute to the next the entire website stopped working these were the issues...
- any link that you clicked in firefox would bring up a blank page
- any link that you clicked on in Internet Explorer would just bring you back to the main page
- when logged in as an admin any changes or additions would result in a blank page once I click on "Save", "Preview", or "Cancel"
I apologize for the outlash in previous post. I was extremly frustrated before. Thanks for your help.
