Install page just refreshes instead of installs

I've tried installing two plugins, and when I get to the last install page, the page refreshes when I click install. The page is unchanged still saying that the plugin is uninstalled.

The error log says nothing of it.

Anybody have some ideas?

what plugins? what gl version?
this is usually a register globals issue re the install script.

phpbbbridge and the portal parts forum plugin are the ones I've tried.

gl version 1.3.11sr1

though this thread applies to gl 1.4, the fix mentioned has made a difference on 1.3.11 setups as well. dunno why exactly. Of course this is assuming that your issue is the same as that one. hope that helps.
