confused
Fresh installation with the latest version of forum. Everything works okay except when I try to make a post. This is the error message I get.

Warning: main(PHP/Compat.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/D/o/g/DogWings/html/geeklog/public_html/forum/include/gf_showtopic.php on line 39

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'PHP/Compat.php' (include_path='/home/content/D/o/g/DogWings/html/geeklog/system/pear/:.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/content/D/o/g/DogWings/html/geeklog/public_html/forum/include/gf_showtopic.php on line 39

I've got just vague ideas of what this means, so assume I know nothing. Thanks for any help you can give.

Looks as if this file is missing:
/home/content/D/o/g/DogWings/html/geeklog/public_html/forum/include/config.php

Did you already resolve this problem?

Just wanted make sure you're working with the right version of GL..
I am assuming you are trying to install "forum" plugin. YOu have to have at least version 1.3.10.

I had same problem and fixed it by copying "pear" directory (reference to Dirk's comment above). However, I ran into anothet problem. (http://www.geeklog.net/forum/viewtopic.php?forum=2&showtopic=61712)

I could install some other plug in to fix this but then I didn't know what other problems I might run into. I just decided to upgrade to the newer version of GL and fixed all problems I had with forum...

There is no config.php file in that directory. The forum's config.php file is in /path/to/geeklog/plugins/forum/

someone said the solution is to turn the pear to false in lib-common.php but I can not find that file in mine?
