Is it possible to remove the current situation of having to wait for an admin to check your stories and events before them showing on the site? At the moment, admins have to write, then approve their own stories!!!

Not sure what you mean. If someone is a member of the Story Admin group, their stories will show up on the site immediately after they've been saved. In fact, they can't even get to the normal story submission form but will be redirected to the Admin's extended version of the story editor.

It is the same with events and Event Admins.

I have pretty much the same question: is there a way to remove the authorization requirement for new stories, etc.? I'd like the new posts to show up immediately.
