Hi,

how can I customize my index.html page from the HOME section? I doesn't want to show what is the latest story posted or the latest message in the forum, but I would like to add some own content.

Is this possible?

you can use staticpages to add your own customized content to the index page.
note the settings in the staticpage editor for centerblock and its position.

I to today had the same question.

I do not want stories to appear on the home page - i use a number of static pages already - The index page has grown rather lengthy with the static pages, forum topics, featured story and then the stories.
.
I do not even want the option of the the story is to be displayed when submitting the story , ie. Mode - front page or just topic page. I want the default to be topic page only, no options.

So I checked the logical places -- config.php, index.php, submit.php, lib-story.php, lib-common.php to no avail....

Where can i make this change??
