I'm using mysql5(works great, fast), but had trouble with php5. I know people are using php5, but I did not have time to mess with it.

One of my development environments is PHP 5.1.2 / MySQL 5.0.18. There are a few minor kinks left in 1.4.0rc2 that have been addressed in CVS since. The plan is to have Geeklog 1.4.0 working with "out-of-the-box" configurations of PHP 5 and MySQL 5.

sounds good. I have used Geeklog since 1.2 version. I liked it. I have php5.1.2 now so I want to upgrade. - or rather - do a fresh install.
