Number of articles in home page??

I have set $_CONF['limitnews'] = 7; in the config.php, but still cant seem to get more than 5 articles to show on the home page. I can log in as a user and set it to anything else and it seems to work as that user, but I cant seem to get the default to change? Is there another setting somewhere?

Try logging in as another test user. Maybe your cookies block that e.g. like theme and language too.

Cleared the cookies and even used a different browser...no difference. Settings for any given user work fine and show up immediately, but its the default non-user-logged-in number of stories that remains at 5?

The default for new and anonymous users is that config.php setting (and it's not stored in a cookie).

The only other thing coming into play here is the number of stories per topic, put that's only of interest on the index.php?topic=... pages, not on the initial index page.

bye, Dirk

So maybe some of the stories are not visioble for guests? Check the story settings!

Very strange. All articles (over 2500) are set for view by anonymous so even if some were skipped, those would be skipped and should still show 7 articles. I might keep trying with different numbers...maybe it "doesn like" 7? Smile
