confused
Hallo there. I'm a newbie and I have just upgraded an 1.3.7 version to the 1.4 version. All the tags in the 1.3.7 version is like this:

Tags for articles

[ b ] bold [ /b ]
[ u ] underline [ /u ]
[ i ] italic [ /i ]
[ url=http://www.test.com ] The Test Site [ /url ]
[ email=me@home.com ] Joe Bloggs [ /email ]
[ dl=ID_NO ] My download [ /dl]
[ bar ] The green bar at the top of the page [ /bar ]

I have used the same database in the new installation but now all the stories have these tags. Is it possible that I can add these tags to my new upgraded installation? There is +-1500 stories in the db and most of them has these tags.

Not sure what you mean. Geeklog has always used HTML, not the bb-style formatting using square brackets.

Also see Why does Geeklog remove certain HTML tags?

this is the site I have upgraded. You will be able to see the tags that is not displayed correctly..
http://www.keyter.co.za/article.php?story=2004072016093129

This is the old site and it displays the tags normally:

You must be using some custom code on the old site since, as I said, Geeklog has never used bb-style tags.

bye, Dirk
