What did you try? What happened?
Note that the IMG tag is filtered out by default. As a (Story) Admin, you can upload images using Geeklog's special [imageX] tags, though - see the instructions right there in the story editor.
bye, Dirk

hi, i'm a friend of Max's and I'm a PHP developer.
i've looked into this, the lines show in his error contain getimagesize()...the errors indicate that the file doesn't exist...which leads me to believe that there's an error while uploading. i checked the form tag...the enctype attribute is in order...maybe someone could point me to the file that actually handles the uploads and i could look into it myself?
the headers already sent errors are obviously the result of the other errors showing up so i guess we can forget about that one.
thanks.

There's a debug option for the image upload in config.php:
// upload. Debug messages will be added to the error.log file.
// $_CONF['debug_image_upload'] = true;
See if that provides any additional information.
Also, which PHP version is this running on? There was a bug in recent PHP versions that prevented the image upload (should work again with the current PHP releases).
bye, Dirk
Text Formatted Code
// Uncomment the following line if you experience problems with the image// upload. Debug messages will be added to the error.log file.
// $_CONF['debug_image_upload'] = true;
See if that provides any additional information.

hi Dirk,
thanks for your reply.
i uncommented that line in the config file and this is the output once i submitted:
Attached Images Not Used
The following errors occured while trying to save your story. Please correct these errors before saving
image #1, 20060222094619838_1.png, was not used. You must include this image in the intro or body before you can save your changes
i grep'd for the image and found it in /images/articles/
the image was uploaded in the first upload field and this was the contents of the body:
this is my logo [image1]
thanks for your time.

I'm confused - this now looks like the upload succeeded. So did you change anything?
Can't explain that "image was not used" message right away. Geeklog is simply counting the [imageX] tags in the story's text, so you may have an invisibly special character in that tag. Or did you use the preview option while uploading the image at the same time? As that is known not to work properly ...
bye, Dirk
