Can anyone shed some light on this error message?

I have checked the config.php file and this is the code I have written on that line " 'a' => array('href' => 1, 'title' => 1 ),

I receveive this error message when I am trying to upgrade the database accoring to the new 1.4 upgrade instructions...

I have copied over the directories that are required and follow the steps according to instructions posted...

As usual: Check that line and the lines before that line for missing quotes, semicolons, and - in your case - closing brackets.

bye, Dirk

Something is wrong with this line in your config.php:
Text Formatted Code
$_DB_dbms = 'mysql';   // Do not change (currently, only MySQL is supported)

bye, Dirk

Dirk, I am all the way up to here now...

Template Error: set_root: /home/spywar3/public_html/public_html/layout/professional is not a directory.

I don't know where to look for the double "public_html" entry....

Before you post even more error messages: Why don't you use the settings from your previous install? Not the actual config.php file, of course, but the paths from that file?

bye, Dirk

We did use the settings.... We followed your instructions and just ran into some problems.

Actually one of the problems we have now is that none of the buttons in the admin category are showing up... maybe one can help me shed some light on this

The I can't get any blocks to show up other than theones that were set to "All" before the upgrade. None of the otehr blocks work, neither can I change anything on them. It automatically just saves whatever is there.

Make sure you've updated your theme and the language files.

Ok, we have made lots of changes to the theme header and footer, adding a menu bar and such. What files are crucial to be switched over in the theme? I can replace them all, but i've made quite a few changes to some of them.

The theme changes are documented, as usual. Looks like you should start with the theme's admin directory.
