Well, there's the Journal plugin and I think there's a modified version of the static pages plugin called "userpage" or something like that. Try a search ...

I can't find where to download it? I did see something about a "UPAGE" in a forum but no place to download it or any kind of description. Is it even compatible with 1.40??

The Journal plugin says it works with 1.37 anyone know if it works with 1.40??

Thanks

Neither of those have been updated in awhile. I tried to use Upage with gl1.4 but ran into some issues, I think it was with uploading user pictures, and disabled it. Don't know if it was because of being used with gl 1.4 or something I did wrong. You can find the link to it here. I haven't put all that much effort into it since.

The journal plugin has some issues with comments that have been discussed elsewhere in this forum. Your best bet is to backup your database and try them out. Just my two cents

I took my Journal plugin here.
It is updated by THEMike.
You'll have to grab it from CVS there, but it works pretty ok with my Gl 1.4.0

Which one Rolling Eyes I double checked mine and it works OK. You have to accept the certificates and eventually the download starts.

Hi ! I'm using the journal plugin with GL 1.4.0 s1 and just wanted to let ya'll know that you need to do something with the new comment API and the comment.php. I suck at coding and stuff like that so ive been checking regularly with the forums here at geeklog.net.
I checked out the CVS repository at http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/fbglplugins/Journal/journal.cfg?rev=1.3&view=log
and it shows the journal to be updated and using the new comment api. can anyone tell me how to download the whole journal package from the repo?

As I said, you have to manually grab each file from CVS, there's no single package file.
2 squirrellydw: you should click CVS link on that page Confused

That's Mike's fork of the Journal plugin and he hasn't released it officially yet, AFAIK. That's why.

But since the original Journal plugin (CVS here) is pretty much dead, that shouldn't bother you too much (although you may want to wait for a proper release first).

bye, Dirk
