You would think that I would know this stuff by now. I am now on my second installation of GL 1.4.0 and I am trying to get the FCKEditor to work with the Contemporary_v1 theme.

I can submit a story and edit and everything else. However, the blue bar above the editor that has "Preview, Editor, Publish Options, Etc," - I can't get that to work? I click on any of the choices and the page "jumps" but the page doesn't change, nor do I see a preview if I select preview, or any of the other options.

What do i need to check to get this to work?

I have a similar problem. Im using 1.4.0 and my default theme is White pointer (reportedly updated to work with 1.4.0) and whenever I use either the story submision or the comments or the staticpages I dont get any images for the advanced editor. it shows as two broken image links.
I even copied the storyeditor_advanced, submit_advanced, comment_advanced to their respective directories in my theme folder (they were already there but just to double check).
But they sitll did not work. Donm1021 I would suggest you read here. Read the part about where you have to get files from your professional theme folder and copy them over to you're contemporary theme folder.
As for me I will be waiting for something to happen and hope FCK works again for me.

I recopied the files from the professional theme over to my new contemporary folder and now the the editor is working as it should. But now the blue bar that used to be there at the top is now gone.

The links are still there and they work... but the blue bar is missing. I know that it is a problem with the CSS, but can't locate where the details for the blue nav is in the CSS?

Anyone have any idea?

Thanks!

This bluebar is the navbar and requires the navbar templates (directory) that is part of GL 1.4 professional theme. You also need all the #navbar related CSS declarations.

It's only blue if you want it to be.

It looks like there might be something wrong with the templates as whenever I use the navbar templates (directory) and the related CSS declarations - the top rectangle that has the Author:, Title:, ID:. Topic:, Story Stats:, Show Topic Icon:, moves off the page completely to the right
