I've just released yet another RC, 6th to be precise, of zClassified Ads.
What's new
Not much actually I've hopefully fixed the embarassing approval in the submission queue.
What's New listing added, and some minor cosmetics and typos.
Upgrade instructions:
- Just replace the files as there's no DB changes introduced.
The archive is available here.
Hope to hear some feedback

I am not sure how many people currently use this, but users like me who use still 1.3.11 find zClassifued Ads an excellent option :
- it is fast and overall no performance hassle with GL or other GL plugins
- among all similar plugin and even so called professional classified scripts zClassified Ads has the best possible features and configurable options - I have not seen so much configurable options in any other similar nuke plugins
There are two things I will like to know , the first of which I guess will be very easy for Robin :
1) Putting photo ( if photo is there, and if no photo a shadow photo ) of the latest 2 or 3 or 4 ads on the very index page of the classifieds where it lists the categories , as well as the search box on the first page
2) Adding a feature like lightbox ( 4homepages.de ) where users can put their favorite ads or delete from the faorite list.
These are nothing very essential though !
So thanks again for the wonderful script.
ps : and probably a link ( like email the person who posted ad ) by which one can instant chat using the php121 as Robin has now set it up successfully

Thanks Robin. I was just stating **the facts**
With many a plugin the user concern is that of how performance is affected, particularly in shared hosting background. With Z, everything is very well tuned.
Think of the two points I made when you get some time and in the meanwhile I will make a test with php5, latest mysql, and GL 1.4 latest and z Classifieds with reg glob off . I am sure things should work as fine

The link to download the RC6 archive just gives me a geeklog fatal error. The most recent version I can find on geeklog.net in the file downloads is RC5. At least that's newer than the RC4 I'm currently using.
Also, is zclassified GL 1.4-ready? (ie the register_globals thing) Or are you planning to work on that?

I think this plug in could be very useful but I have some issues:
I can't upload images, I choose images smaller than 500 kb but they don't upldoad. There is only the placeholder "Image not available" instead.
When I set the "Additional Information" I can give them the names but when I add values while posting an ad, they will be gone after I saved the ad and it it is still "N/A" there.
I don't see a way after the ad got approved by the admin to edit the ad by the admin again, I see only the possibility to delete the complete ad. The admin should have the power to edit and set more settings like the Expiration Date (like someone already pointed out).
The "home" link on the second bread crumb menu on an ad item page is active but links only to itself.
They are still some language entries hard coded into the code and not in the language.php e.g. the "home" thing above.
I checked zClassified RC6 and I hope I could make myself clear.
Can we expect another rc soon? Will the autotag feature be implemented?
Thank you/Frank

Greetings to the list: Guess I am the new kid on the block as I have just loaded 1.4.0-sr5-1 and zClassified sr6. I couldn't get it to install and tried to dump everything and go with 1.3.11-sr2. Had some issues there and decided to go back to the original 1.4.0-sr5-1 and it installed. Got lucky I guess and it installed. I did have to set the register_global on both my php4 and php5 ini files. I do not know very much at this point but can say that I am excited at learning the potentials of Geeklog.
I view zClassified one of the most desired plugins from my point of view and hope that it continues to evolve with Geeklog.
So much to learn, thank you in advance for the hard work!
OS is Gentoo 2.6 kernel +
