Preferences template problem

In preferences, one may select a one or a few authors not to see.
However, once one has selected one, it is impossible to go back to a state when none are selected.
This isn't a geeklog issue per se, but has to do with the interaction of the thin client (I tried this with IE and FF) and the PHP.
There is a simple solution, however: JUst provide a place where one can select "none".
