If I copy header.thtml over to my hard disk, rename it header.html and edit some text using dreamweaver. When I return it to the professional directory and rename it back to header.thtml only the header loads on the home page. The bottom parts of the page do not show up. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Jack

Don't use Dreamweaver (or some other "WYSIWYG" editor) for the .thtml files. They often only contain partial HTML and these programs think they have to add the rest ...

header.thtml, for example, ends with an open table that is closed in footer.thtml. Dreamwever probably just added the closing table tag, thus screwing up the layout ...

bye, Dirk

there used to be a way to stop Dreamweaver from doing that. Do you remember how it's done?
