After I installed Geeklog1.4 successfully on my localhost, I tried to do the same on free.fr! Unfortunatly I encountered loads of problems, which I bravely faced and solved... until I got finally stuck!

1. Installation succeded, db is initialised, files are ok!
2. Have access to /admin, but certain actions result in similar problems as...
3. Calling the home page fails:

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'HTTP/Request.php' (include_path='/var/www/free.fr/8/e/ultimate33/include:.') in /var/www/free.fr/8/e/ultimate33/geeklog/system/classes/syndication/parserfactory.class.php on line 31


What I considered before crying for help:

1. No change of file permissions possible (all set to: dir 700, files 644)
2. No idea about pear, tried to set $_CONF['have_pear'] true, no change
3. ini_set is deactived by free.fr, I commented it out in lib-custom, no change


That's it! I would be glad if someone of you is able to tell me weather there is a chance to get the system running on free.fr or not! I invested some time, so giving up is no option!

Is there a note in your error.log file saying something to the effect that the path to PEAR could not be set?

Hello Dirk, hello the other!

No error logs... I go to http://ultimate33.free.fr/geeklog33/admin and log in (standard Geeklog login is still active), and everything looks alright. But several functions cause problems, for instance the change of user data, e.g. the Admin password! During all this, no errors are logged!

Has anybody an idea? Free.fr is the most popular french provider, almost all non-commercial websites in France are hosted here! Would be nice to offer a solution for Geeklog, I'm sure that I'm not the only one facing this problem!!!
