forum problem, no clue whats wrong :helpme:

i'm using geeklog 1.4.0sr2 with the tabular dynamics theme and installed the forum plugin in all of the neccessary directories and everything from the instructions. then i went into my site, logged in, and went to the neccessary install.php url and it just found it and showed it as not installed. when i click install nothing happens, it just refreshes the page. what could be the problem?
