Compatible FAQ manager

Dear friends

Is there any compatible FAQ manager with the latest GL 1.4.0sr2
I tried with FAQman and multilang but nothing happend..

They both work just fine with 1.4.0 but they both require register_globals to be on.

In order tio enable register_global i have to put .htaccess to directories
The questions are:
1: in all three Directories ??
2: Is it a security issue ??

Read the FAQ Isn't it a security risk to have register_globals=on?
