We have the events block displayed in one of our columns on our site - however, we would like to change the formatting of the events being displayed.

For example, we would like the title of the event to be displayed first followed by the date shown as Month (name spelled out rather than a number)/day/year.

What file would I have to edit in order to change the event block formatting?

Anyone have any idea which file would need to be edited to change the formatting of the event block?

I looked inside the "layouttheme "block" and "event" directories didn't really see anything there that looked like the file to change?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The date format is the one set by the $_CONF['dateonly'] variable. The rest is pretty much hard-coded in function COM_printUpcomingEvents in lib-common.php
