I loaded up my GL setup this morning, and it was off-the-scale slow (page generation anywhere from 18 to 56 seconds!), and I can't figure out why.

Even items that should be cached - like topic icons and the 'Ping' graphic on the stories page -are taking forever to load up.

I've disabled all blocks that pull information from external sources, and it's still running really, really bad. I have most plugins disabled at this point - with the exception of Bad Behavior, which has logged upwards of 1200 spam attempts.

The site is at http://blah3.com. If anyone can suggest anything that's making the site dog like it is, I'd appreciate it.

Is this a Geeklog thing or a server thing? Anyone?

Did you search for: Cannnot connect to DB server ?
