is it possible to split "images/articles" folder to 2-3 or more separate folders, maybe topic based?
i'm using geeklog for more than 2 years and this folder is pretty big - about 5400 files there
or i can simply replace old URLs in gl_stories table:
like
src="http://www.mysite.com/images/articles/200401011132573.jpg"
to become
src="http://www.mysite.com/images/articles1/200401011132573.jpg"
where "articles1" is sort of archive folder

well ... took some longer than expected
upgraded from 1.3.8 to 1.4.0sr2
firstly renamed the folder ../articles to ../articles1
then replaced all URL strings in the database to point the new folder
next created /articles folder again and upgraded
all old stories use images from articles1, all new should use articles folder.
it was realy long list of files
now i have just one problem, think it wont hurt me
when trying to edit old story i receive msg like this:
getimagesize(/public_html/images/articles/2006011017370072_1.gif):
failed to open stream: No such file or directory
in /public_html/lib-common.php on line 5547
