Trackback spamming

Hi, i've noticed recently of the use of trackbacks to spam on my site. Is this problem solved or mitigated in some geeklog version?
I have read elsewhere of some ideas:
- send trackbacks to moderation queues that require admin approval.
- create a big list of valid sites, a white list and black list, which aids in auto-approving or auto-banning.

Trackbacks already use the Spam-X system, so combining Spam-X configuration (set up your blacklists) and BadBehaviour and there is a reasonably capable spam block already available to you.
Much discussion on the developers list at the moment around improving this, and ByteEnable has posted a hack in the Cool Hacks forum that implements a trackback submission queue, that could help you.
