Random quote block?

i'm looking to add a random text/quote block to my site. i want it to pull from a txt file, not a database, so i can alter/update it easily. i did see some old code on this forum, but its from 2002 and does not describe how to seperate the quotes in the text file.

I think there are at least 3 different random quote blocks - some of them may be listed as plugins. Try searching again ...
