Can't publish story / articles

I login as admin and any other users and I cannot publish any story. I got this error message :
"Specified upload directory, /home/mydermal/public_html/geeklog/images/articles exists but is not writable"
Can anyone advise

Well, the error message pretty much says it all, don't you think? Refer to the installation instructions again - you seem to have skipped a step or two ...

I used cpanel fantastico to install and being a user without even basic programmer knowledge I rely do not know how to resolve this. Can you point out to me what went wrong?

As the error message states, that directory (and the others listed in the installation instructions) must be writable by Geeklog (i.e. by your webserver).
Shouldn't that "autoinstall" have done that for you? Anyway, use your ftp program to fix them (again, refer to the installation instructions). There's also a script that you can use to check if everything is correct (which, oddly enough, is also mentioned in the installation instructions).

Oh I finally discovered what's wrong.... it's creating permission to the respective directory in questiosn, now I can edit and pblish
