tired
I'm having a little trouble debugging the date on my RSS feed. I set this up so that my non-html-literate artist/husband can maintain his own blog. It looks fine inside Geeklog, but the feed comes up without the date. I don't know yet whether the problem is in the feed or the reader.

The url is http://www.rhoadsart.com/blogframe.html
and http://www.rhoadsart.com/guestframe.html

Advice?

Which RSS format are you using? RSS 0.9x doesn't have a date field, but RSS 2.0 has.

Perhaps I should explain...both RSS and PHP are completely new to me. I'm learning by studying the program, but much of this is still rather obscure.

The actual feed seems to be http://your-taxes.com/blog/backend/blog.rdf and that is in RSS 0.91 format.

If this feed is created by Geeklog, you can change the format in the Content Syndication panel (assuming you have Geeklog 1.4.0 - for 1.3.11, you will have to install the RSS 2.0 feed writer class first).

Unfortunately, I have 1.3.11. That explains that.

Looks like upgrading is a major project...

Thanks, Dirk.

As I said, for 1.3.11, you can install additional Feed Writer Classes.
