Hi, I recently installed Geeklog, and then the forum plugin. I love both of them and would like to sincerley thank the developers for all their hard work. I am going to ask one more thing before I fall into obscurity on this website.

I want to have a block on the left hand side that has a link to the main forum page (called Forum) and a link to New forum Posts (called new forum posts). Is this included with the forum package or do i need to run some code? If there is code, can you please post it?

The forum plugin comes with both a side block and a centerblock option. The side block should be listed in the Admin's list of blocks (probably disabled).

bye, Dirk

Centerblock shows up, but not sideblock. Any clue what the file and destination of the file is?

I am also wondering where I can activate the Forum Menu like on the geeklog site? I am playing around with both forums 2.3.2 and 2.5RC1 but I don't see this block at all. I can find the center block and the Forumposts.
I was also looking in the config.php of the plugin but there is nothing either...

Any more ideas?

The forum menu should appear when you are in the forum only and automatically.

The install creates a block definition automatically - check that you have a block 'phpblock' using the function phpblock_forum_menu setup.

This block is not there. When I create it manually then it will be there even when the forum is not selected...

Just leave it disabled.
