Weird lib-common.php issue.

During installation I would get to the success page, but it would be blank. My error message (forgot the exact message) but it was something like "expecting ")" instead of ";" on like 2608. I couldn't figure it out (im not too smart) so I just put "//" in front of the entire line! After doing that I got it to install just fine. Anyway, I was wondering exactly what this line does, and how excluding it will effect Geeklog. Line 2608 reads:
"$replace = array( '&', '', '<', '>', '[', ']' );"
Ideas?
"$replace = array( '&', '', '<', '>', '[', ']' );"
Ideas?

That line is part of the code that handles Geeklog's [ code ] tags. It's possible that your editor messed something up there which caused the syntax error when you saved lib-common.php again. Did you try another editor (starting with a fresh copy of lib-common.php)?
