How Do I Get Movable Type Articles in Geeklog?

Does anyone know how I can get Movable Type articles into Geeklog sidebar?

I am running Geeklog on the root directory while Movable Type is installed in a subdirectory on the same domain. I just want to link to the articles in Movable Type from Geeklog.

Thanks

Would using an RSS feed be an option? I.e. let MT create a feed of the articles and import them into Geeklog in a portal block.

See Content syndication for details.

Thanks Dirk for the quick reply!

I could not get the Sqautty's news_RC1.0_1.3.8 to work.
After I went through all the steps listed therein, the plugin does not intall in the admin panel of Geeglog. When hit install, nothing happens and it says that the plugin is NOT installed.

Second, I tried using the portal.php, but I am confused about how to proceed. I edited portal.php on line 41 as follows:
$url = 'http://geeklog.sf.net';
Now, what do I do from here?

One more question(unrelated to the above):
What code do I edit to remove the count of articles next to Read More.
ie, Read More appears like this: Read More (550)
How do I remove (550)?

Thanks a lot!!

Can't help you with any third-party add-ons - never used them and some of them may not even work anymore with the current Geeklog release.

Why don't you simply use the built-in portal blocks? No code changes necessary ...

bye, Dirk
