I am loving Geeklog, and getting into the finer points of it now, customising bits here and there now I have my plugins installed and working how I want.

Now I am at the point where I want my site to look different from an exact duplication of the geeklog site using the professional theme. I had an older look for my site which was one I had designed myself. I have put the old logo in place but don't know anything about graphics programs, it something I would love to learn but thats another story.

I would like to change the colour of the logo-bg.png file from blue to red, and I don't know if this is an easy thing to do. I have put the main logo for my website here and the logo-bg.png standard geeklog file here so if either some kind graphics person could change the logo-bg.png file to the same background colour as my site logo, or tell me how to do it in Fireworks, that would be great.

Keep up the good work, looking forward to GL2.

Many thanks,

Location:The Netherlands, where else?
In Fireworks: Filters > Adjust Color > Hue/Saturation.

BTW: the colours of your logo match the Axonz theme.
Dutch Geeklog sites about camping/hiking:

Doing that in Fireworks does change it a red if I tinker, but won't give me the option of the exact red.

I might see if I can modify the axonz theme easier if thats closer, although not sure if its compatible with 1.4.0

Don't worry too much, I know I am veering off the course of Geeklog related questions!

I may have a solution for you on getting that color just right. Get the color picker that enables you to hover your mouse over any part of your desktop to view the color pallet type. You can download it from here. Its a program called Pixie.
