Good morning all. I am running an old version of GL and need to upgrade to a newer version. I see where can download a new one, but I am pretty new when it comes to blogs, etc., and am not at all sure how to get it onto my site. I also want to make sure I do not lose any of the material that I have there already. Is anyone able to give me very basic, Gl for Dummies steps on how to do this? I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

I'd suggest you start with the upgrading instructions and come back if you have specific questions.

Dirk, I am in the same situation as the guy above. I'm totally illierate with php and I am scared to death of losing what I've gotten built up over the last 8 months. I'm a small site with only 200 registered users but if I screw up the update and lose user's info and the like, I will be devestated.
If I paid you to do it for me would you consider it? I know you're a busy guy but man I would feel so much safer having a pro do this than taking a chance on my extremely limited ability.
Please contact me as soon as possible either way - viasoul@charter.net
