I don't know what the heck happened, but any time I click on Stories, Topics, or just about any link in the Admin error, I get this:
An SQL error has occurred. Please see error.log for details.
Nothing is showing up in error.log (yes, it's writable), although I was getting an error in the gl_stories table, and ran a repair.
Now the database is reading okay, but I'm still getting the SQL error on my home page and the home page will not come up.
I have no idea what is going on, and I'm trying to reproduce what caused the error, if I can get my site started back up.
Can anyone point me to something obvious? I gotta get to bed, but I don't want to leave the site down.
On Edit: I restored the database from the latest backup, ran a check on the database and got this error:
What does this mean, and why is it causing SQL errors all over the place?

myisamchk:error: Size of index file is: 123904
Should be: 135168

What does this mean, and why is it causing SQL errors all over the place?

It seems to be working fine now. Although I did not post to any forum groups, everything looked okay to me...no errors from my view point.
