You've finally moved it into a working page...except I've tried anything - using my name and password from the project site (it said I'm not allowed to see the CVS) and using any user/password combination of pserver/anonymous/geeklog, but no such users exist.

What must I do to see the CVS (which I wonder why you drop in favor of SVN).

I want to check whether you finally fixed FCKeditor v2.3's support without having to test the nighly version time and time again...

Try it again now.

No idea what you're talking about, but if there's a bug report for this, you could simply check its status. And if there isn't - why not?

bye, Dirk

Cool, there's not even a need now to user name/password.
May I ask what's "CVSROOT" and "journal"?

As I've explained here, v2.3 doesn't work when I upgrade it myself.

This was confirmed by Blaine here. He said v2.3 was too different from v2.1.1 and v2.2, and so it required Geeklog's javascripts (I assume just the javascripts - am I wrong?) to change too. Then he pointed us to the CVS if we want to get v2.3 as well as the new changes in Geeklog. What I did was simply taking public_html/fckeditor and public_html/javascript from the nightlies and completely replaced my old folders with them. It failed with a javascript error (as detailed in the latter topic).

Not only that but I've reported in both aforementioned topics the top toolbar is barely seen because its CSS is broken for a reason I can't explain.

CVSROOT is just some internal stuff used by CVS. And "journal" is the Journal plugin.

As for FCKeditor: There have been changes in the PHP code as well. I'm not sure if those are essential or if they're only needed to make the integration work nicer.

I'd say at this point we're only supporting FCKeditor 2.3 with the upcoming Geeklog 1.4.1. If you attempt to backport it, you're pretty much on your own ...

Which PHP code?

Well, obviously v1.4.1 would be based on the CVS, so since I don't want to wait just tell me which folders/files I need except the 2 folders I've mentioned?

It's not that easy. There were changes in submit.php and admin/story.php, for example. But you can't just copy over those files to 1.4.0 since they depend on other changes in CVS.

bye, Dirk
