Crying or Very sad
Okay I have read numerous post and replies on the subject. I have read the install.txt and the detailed instructions by Blaine.

I have placed all folders where I believe they are supposed to go, I have created the php.ini and placed everywhere the forum content has gone.

I goto the admin page for plugins and finally I do see the link to install the forum. When I click the link I'm taken to the confirmation screen which confirms that the Install did NOT work.

I'm not a programmer, I use a wysiwyg program for Designing sites. I am, at this point, lost as to what I'm doing wrong.

Could anyone offer some guidance?

Thanks

This sounds like register_globals is not "on". Also check Geeklog's error.log file for any messages regarding the forum.

bye, Dirk

Thanks for the response.

I check the log but, it still has the original "dummy entry"

Would you verify:

I'm suppose to create directories here:
public_html (same level as Admin)
Forum (same level as Admin)
Admin
Plugins

Then copy corresponding files from the extracted tar to those directories.
Copy and add to the style sheets.

add lib-portalparts to the system directory
